Opus 2021 Awards

Thank you to all applicants and participants of Opus 2021, TVAA's biggest and annual "best of" juried show at the Riverside Hotel.

The juror, Sue Tyler, is primarily a painter (watercolor and acrylics), lover of the West, and retired art educator.  Sue hails from Driggs, ID.   Her art and more of her bio can be viewed at suetyler.com.

Sue's priorities for selecting the included work and giving the awards relied on her perception of good design, good craftsmanship, artist's intent, and "wow" factor.  She worked hard to see the art not just from a painter's eye and considered the diversity of media.  The works selected for the show were based on the digital images submitted.  Sue confessed to having a big challenge picking the final awards based on in-person viewing at the Riverside, as it is a good-looking group of work.  Thank you, Sue!

Please come see the show, on view through Dec 31st, 2021.

See Sue Tyler talk about her experience as a juror and see her picks for the winners of Opus 2021!
