St. Paul's Epistle
Week of October 13 - October 19, 2021

A meeting was held by the leaders of Anglicans for Life (AFL) on Thursday, September 23rd.  Emily Miller and Deb Spellerberg represent St. Paul;s of Conway at these meetings.  Below is a summary of what was discussed at the meeting

Projects AFL are working on:
  • -The “Clergy Class” focus will be on Bioethical issues first, then end of life. Prioritize based on pastoral needs reflected in survey.
  • -I’m Just Like You – feature of unborn child’s development – using the model of flash cards, AFL is developing a series of images that feature the development of the child in the womb. The purpose of this is to teach children how God knit them together and share on social media to teach the public the humanity of the unborn child that is killed in abortion.
  • -AFL will announce in the upcoming newsletter the development of the Anglican Adoption Fund – which will collect donations earmarked to provide grants (between $1,500 to $3,000) for ACNA families to help offset costs associated with adoption.
  •
  • Discussion Topics –
  • -Georgette reminded everyone that the use of chemical abortions (aka RU-486) is increasing and now accounts for 40% of abortions – please remember within the first 48 hours of taking the first pill – the procedure can be reversed. Please learn more about this at this website AbortionPillReversal.com and share it with others!
  • -Put this date on your calendars! SUMMIT 2022 is January 20-22, 2022. The youth Summit will take place Thursday evening, Prayer and Worship Service is Friday morning and afterwards we will board buses to the March for Life, and then on Saturday (22nd), SUMMIT 2022 for adults will take place. Both the YSummit and the SUMMIT will be in person and virtually.
  • Fund raising Ideas for Churches -
  • -AFL Christmas Cards will be available by mid-October to order and sell.
  • -Baby Feet Pins from HH76.org can be ordered and are a great way to teach people about the humanity of the unborn.
  • -Bracelets – a Life Leader is developing this idea and people will be able to order them.
  •  Key Events happening this fall
  • -40 Days for Life kicks off on Wednesday, September 22, 2021 – please check their website to find your local information which would be good to share with the people in your database.
