GO TEAM!

Introducing Stonington's best slate of candidates for November 2nd
Tim O'Brien, Sara Baker, Sandy Grimes, Danielle Chesebrough, Dan Kelley
Chris Johnson, Mike Fauerbach, Chris Donahue
November's important municipal elections are just weeks away. The ballots are printed, the lawn signs are going up and it's time to make sure Stonington elects people with the expertise to move our town forward. To make that happen, we need your help!

Local Elections Matter!

You are receiving this email because you have supported the Stonington Democratic Town Committee and Stonington democratic candidates in the past - thank you! If you do not want this information, we are sorry for the intrusion and there is an unsubscribe button below.

BUT, if you are interested in hearing about the upcoming local election (and maybe even want to help out), please read on!!

So, what do you need to know this year? The Selectmen race is uncontested (congratulations Danielle, June & Deb!) but there is a contested Treasurer's race and our own Sandy Grimes deserves another term!

We also have exciting young candidates for both the Board of Finance and the Board of Education who are in competitive races.

Some introductions....
Who's new? We're so grateful that we can call on the talents of Chris Johnson for Board of Finance this year. Standing for Board of Education we're happy to welcome Sara Baker, Chris Donahue and Dan Kelley. We're going to need all of them to get elected to make sure Stonington keeps moving forward. We'll be posting their bios to our website soon, and we'll have them introduce themselves in a future email -- or they may just show up at your door! Give them a warm welcome!
Sara Baker and Chris Johnson have been busy on the campaign trail!
Meanwhile old favorites Tim O'Brien and Mike Fauerbach are back this year to run for Board of Finance once again - thank you Tim and Mike for your service!

What can you do?
Contribute to the team...
As you know, elections cost money. We have signs, mailings, texting, phone banking and other efforts that need funding. If you are able to contribute any amount to our effort, please use this link where you can quickly and securely complete your donation online. Thank you so much!
Invite your friends....
Know someone who might appreciate receiving these emails? Forward it to them quickly and easily and get them involved. They can sign up for our emails here!
Make voting easier....
Due to COVID, everyone is still eligible to vote via absentee ballot. This makes voting much easier (we believe it's the future for Connecticut). You can download the ballot application at this link, sign it and mail it to:

Town Clerk,
152 Elm Street
Stonington, CT 06378.

You can also go to the Town Clerk's office and fill out the form there (and save the cost of a stamp). The sooner the better!!

Forward this absentee ballot link to your friends or relatives at college, in the military or on vacation. You can also forward it to friends who may not be used to voting in municipal elections, but who may want to with this simplified method.
Thanks so much for your support this year -- it's going to take everyone's efforts to get us over the line!
