October Roundtable

Thanks to COVID, units around the council are finding new and innovative ways to recruit.  The district did the same and held a great event last month at the Icehouse Amphitheater.  Many of you attended and we had about 20 families journey out to learn more on a rain-soaked Wednesday night. 

Imagine what could happen if we pool our resources and did that again - on a weekend???

Imagine no more!!!

We are canceling our traditional RT this month in an effort to finalize planning for the upcoming  Fall Family Fun Fest.  More information will be sent to all unit leaders in the days ahead to register for this awesome FREE family event held at the Icehouse Amphitheater on Saturday, Nov. 13.  We are lining up free food, bouncy houses and more to attract families around the Chinquapin District and showcase all of the fun scouting offers. 

How can you participate?  All units able to attend should have at least two leaders and a few scouts showcase your unit at a table and bring at least one, maybe two, game(s) and/or fun scout skills.  We want the fun to draw the community to us and let our fantastic scouts and leaders demonstrate all they they can gain from and learn about this program we all love! 

While disappointed to cancel our traditional RT, I hope everyone understands this is done for the greater good of planning what we hope to be one of our best recruiting events yet for everyone in the district!  Please look for more on this in the days ahead!
