Who He Is

Today’s Consuming Fire
Meditation- – A Daily Dose of the Flame of Love Diary Served Up with Today’s
Scriptures

Who He Is

Jesus
said, “My little one, take courage and gaze at Me. May our eyes look at each
other and our glances melt in one another.” (Jesus) (January 14, 1963)

Today’s
Readings: But now take courage, Zerubbabel, says the
LORD,
and take courage, Joshua, high priest, son of
Jehozadak,
And take courage, all you people of the land,
says the LORD, and work!
For I am with you, says the LORD of hosts.
This is the pact that I made with you
when you came out of Egypt,
And my spirit continues in your midst;
do not fear! (Haggai 2)

Prayer Meditation- Lord more than anything else it seems in Sacred Scripture You tell us not to fear. To take courage. You remind us You are with us always- and You never leave. We see You- the God who stays in the First Reading because You are a God who keeps His Promises. And we see You today in the Gospel (Luke 9) asking us to tell You who do we say that You are. And like Peter may we affirm, You are The Christ of God- our everything because we know that You are the God who walks with us in our joys and sorrows and who gives us courage in every battle!

Faith And Confidence

Thursday of the Twenty Eighth Week Of Ordinary Time

Faith and Confidence

The Lord Jesus told me that He had just given me, with wonderful strength, the grace of faith and confidence, because without these two virtues, no other virtues can take root in either me, or in any other soul. (Elizabeth) (May 24, 1963)

Today’s Readings: What occasion is there then for boasting? It is ruled out. On what principle, that of works? No, rather on the principle of faith. For we consider that a person is justified by faith apart from works of the law. (Romans 3)

Prayer Meditation- O Lord, all have sinned and fallen short of Your Glory (Romans 3). We cannot save ourselves- we cannot boast of working our way to Heaven, it is all filthy rags (Isaac 64:6) compared to Your Righteousness. Lord Jesus- the Way, the Truth, and The Life- we boast of nothing but You crucified (1 Corinthians 2:2). Lord there is no sanctification without justification- fill us with the grace of faith and confidence in You! We offer ourselves to You Lord Jesus because we believe in You! Fill us with Your Holy Spirit more and more so that virtue would take root in our souls! Lord, help us to renew our Baptismal Promises today and every day!
