The Chatham Bridge, which connects Fredericksburg and Stafford County, reopened for vehicle traffic on Oct. 10. Bill had an opportunity to talk with VDOT's Chatham Bridge Project Manager, Robert Ridgell, a few days prior to opening about the entire project and how it was delivered on time. “Freehling Finds” videos that document the entire building process can be found by searching YouTube.com for "Chatham Bridge Freehling Finds.” The visitfred.com/spanning-chatha... website tells the entire history of the many previous Chatham Bridges starting in the early 1820's.
