This week, I wanted to show you a really simple way to create a stylish, stepped effect on a brochure without adding any complexity to the job.

I’m a huge fan of stepped formats, and I’ve shown many, many variations on the show over the years. However, some can be tough to machine fold, which really adds to the production cost. But not this one!! I’ve got 4 different low-budget Stepped Double Parallels to share with you, and I think you’re really going to like them.  

What’s super-cool about this week’s fold:

• This is a simple modification to a classic Double Parallel fold (in-half and in-half), and it’s achieved by adjusting the placement of the folds. 
   

• The Stepped Double Parallel is very easy to set up and run entirely by machine—whereas some other stepped formats (although exciting) can be very complex and more expensive to produce.

  
   

• Steps are a great way to draw attention and add interest, and this is a cheap-and-chic way to do it!
