Roundtable
 

Roundtable is a district meeting usually held the second Thursday of the month to help unit leaders plan and carry out their own program. It is designed is to give leaders program ideas, information on events and training opportunities, and an opportunity to share experiences and enjoy fun and fellowship with other Scouting leaders. For updates, follow the district Facebook page. Everyone is welcome to attend the meeting, regardless of position within the unit. For questions about Roundtable, contact Jeff Lovejoy.

Wear your scouting uniform or come as you are. Bring a buddy or two.
At least one representative from each unit should attend. 

This Month at Roundtable:

• Rocket Launch updates: We'll be handing out Rocket Kits for your new scouts. We'll also be selling Space Race kits for cheap $3.50 (vs $6 at Scout Shop).
• Recruitment awards will be presented.
• Training will be provided for Scoutbook Reporting and Recharter 2.0).  Unit Committee Chairs and Advancement Chairs should attend.
• Volunteers needed for Rocket Day and  Meet the Troops (formerly Webelos Woods). Sign up with Consuelo Ortiz and Dennis Schmidt.
• How to participate in JOTI and join SHAC's special breakout room.
• And more!

1. SHAC International Committee is holding an in-person JOTI event at Council offices on Saturday, 10am-2pm.  There will be computers available to jump on and chat with Scouts around the world.
2. Scout leaders in Chiba, Japan (our sister city Council) will be holding an Open House Zoom meeting on Saturday, 8:00pm-10:00pm.

Rechartering on time is critical. Plan ahead by learning more about the recharter process and attending the October Roundtable. Internet Recharter 2.0 will be launching October 15. It will be much simpler and easier to use! Make sure your unit Committee Chair and Membership Chair attend the training tonight!
