Rush To Judgment… SAM Lawsuit Update

OWN VOICE. ~ InPerspective by Gregg Dieguez —

“You win or lose in the Jungle, everyone loses in Court.”  And that’s where we are with the Half Moon Bay (HMB, aka “the City”) lawsuit against its partners in the Sewer Authority Midcoastside (SAM).  In court.  Of course Montara Water and Sanitary District (MWSD) and Granada Community Services District (GCSD) had to contest the lawsuit to protect their ratepayers.   And now, everyone’s trying to rush to judgment because: a) they believe they’re right, and it’s obvious (isn’t it?), and b) we’ve already spent a million dollars on this unfounded HMB lawsuit, and that will go WAY up with an expensive trial, so let’s save time and money and pick a winner.  Here’s what they’re all saying, and what they’re not saying but should say.  And who’s going to prevail…

If SFPUC Declares Water Supply Emergency on Nov. 9th 2021 CCWD Water Allotment Will Be Cut by 50%

VIDEO. From the Coastside County Water District (CCWD) meeting Tuesday, October, 12th, 2021 at 7:00pm by Zoom. Cathleen Brennan from Water Resources presents.

California asked residential Californians to reduce consumption by 15% voluntarily in July, 2021.

SFPUC (San Francisco Public Utilities Commission) intends to declare an Emergency Water Supply Emergency on November 7th, 2021. IF SFPUC declares water supply emergency CCWD’s water allotment will be curtailed to 0.92 million gallons per day. Currently, we are averaging 1.8 million gallons per day. Because we have had no rain, local water sources are dry. So, now 100% of our water is coming from the SFPUC and the Hetch Hetchy resevoir.

Growing Stages is thrilled to present SEASCAPE, a play by Edward Albee. October 16 and 17 around 3pm along the dunes of Mirada Surf Beach located at, Mirada Rd & Magellan Ave, Half Moon Bay, CA 94019.

Directing Ranger (Tanika Baptiste): On a deserted stretch of beach, a middle-aged couple was relaxing after a picnic lunch and conversing idly about home, family, and their life together. She (Allison Berke) was sketching; he (Maurice Ngakane) was napping. Then, suddenly, they were approached by two sea creatures (John Szabo & Lauren Brazell) from the depths of the ocean, with whom they engaged in a fascinating dialogue with. The emotional and intellectual reverberations of this bizarre conversation still lingers in their hearts and the minds long after the days events.
