<<First Name>>
We are tested these days by a sense that, despite our best disposition, the relief for which we hope may prove elusive.
Advent waiting asks us annually not just to wait, but to notice what God is doing where we are as we grow in appreciation of our origins and in recognition of our destiny. Advent reminds us that our journeying may be less about making preparations and progress and more about accepting and rejoicing in the company of God who ceaselessly moves towards us, seeking us out.

Following Advent's invitation, you may wish live in hope and book as Oasis Day one-day retreat in January or February when we look forward to welcoming you.

Pilgrim Ways

Gather online on Thursday 16 December to take some time to focus, quieten and reflect, focusing on an aspect of pilgrimage.

We hope to be able to mark the 500th anniversary of Ignatius' conversion by resuming the full Spiritual Exercises in 2022. The Exercises emerged from the prayer, thought and experience of Ignatius following his recuperation in Loyola and journey to Manresa.

Advent and Christmas 2021

Advent Triduum

Our Advent Triuda are underway with small groups taking time in Manresa to reflect and pray. Even in an atmosphere of distancing and alertness to public health, Advent continues to offer its message of enlightenment and hope.
Should you wish to take some time of retreat at home, perhaps you can be helped by our Advent videos.

Day Retreats

We were sorry to have to cancel our one-day Oasis Day retreats to restrict numbers. We are glad that some were able to sign up for the Hop-on Hop-off Retreat days between Monday 20 and Wednesday 21 December instead.

New Year
Retreat

These popular two-night retreats give you some time out to look back and to look forward as 2022 arrives, with time to reflect and consider. A few places remain on the second New Year Retreat which begins on  Monday 3 January, concluding on Thursday 6 January.

A Heart for the  World

If you are planning your own eight-day retreat in this Ignatian anniversary year, you will value the opportunity to be accompanied – virtually – by Brian O’Leary SJ. In a series of eight videos, Brian presents the Constitutions of the Society of Jesus, drawing inspiration from them and offering cues for prayer and  application to life.

Eight videos of approximately 30 minutes each are presented in easy-to-access sections and are accompanied by notes referring the the Constitutions, Spiritual Exercises and scripture.

Retreats in 2022

The following retreats are planned for 2022. Retreats for recent months have run unlimited numbers which have required ongoing correspondence with those on waiting lists. We are grateful to all for their patience and look forward to being able to welcome people back in greater numbers. We are happy to receive bookings for the following dates:

Eight-day Retreats

Four-day Directed Retreats

The Pope's Video for December
Pope Francis invites us to pray for catechists -  for all who take responsibility of forming others in faith.
