The Volunteering Awards 2021 recognise and celebrate the impact volunteers, volunteer leaders and volunteer programs have in building resilient communities, services and connections across Victoria.

The annual Awards showcase excellence by individuals, teams and volunteer involving organisations, and are being run by Volunteering Victoria with the support of the Victorian State Government through the Department of Families, Fairness and Housing (DFFH).

The Volunteering Awards 2021 are a combination of the Premier’s Volunteer Champions Awards and the Volunteering Victoria State Awards.

Volunteering Victoria is pleased to announce that nominations will open at 12.30pm on Wednesday 20 October, 2021 and run through to 14 January, 2022.

There are seven categories open to direct nomination:

For individuals

Volunteering Pathways to Skills and Community Inclusion
Inclusive Volunteering
Volunteering Leadership
Volunteering Partnerships

For volunteer-involving organisations

COVID-19 Support and Connection
COVID-19 Resilience
COVID-19 Innovation

The Premier’s Volunteer of the Year, the Dame Elisabeth Murdoch Award, will be selected from nominees shortlisted for the last four categories.The Volunteer of the Year will be awarded $10,000.00 to be donated to the charity of their choice.

Shortlisted nominees will be invited to attend an Awards Ceremony being held in March 2022.
