New Monthly Coffee Hour

Join the Office of the Vice President for International Relations and other One World \ One Northwestern (OWON) colleagues for our new informal monthly coffee hour, taking place every third Friday of the month. We will use gather.town, a virtual lounge where we can chat with colleagues in small groups or 1:1, just as at in-person events.

Navigating Cultures Workshop Series for Staff

Northwestern’s Office of the Vice President for International Relations is offering another free interactive 5-week workshop for Northwestern staff in Fall Quarter 2021. The workshop aims to provide tools for greater self-awareness and practical knowledge to increase intercultural sensitivity and effective communication in the workplace. The small group workshop will be conducted online, involving a combination of live presentations, discussions, and interactive activities. 
  • The workshops will be held on Fridays (Oct.22 - Nov.19) from 10am - 12pm on Zoom.
  • Applications and supervisor nominations are due Wednesday, October 13th.

International Classroom Partnering Grants

Let your faculty members know about this global opportunity - applications are accepted on a rolling basis!

The Office of the Vice President for International Relations and the Buffett Institute for Global Affairs invite faculty applications for $3,000 classroom partnering grants. This is an opportunity to collaborate with faculty at Northwestern’s international partner institutions to provide cross-cultural, global opportunities for virtual student learning and engagement during the 2021-2022 school year.
