Here are some recent developments and publications:
- The Canadian Securities Administrators (CSA) published amendments that implement eight initiatives to reduce regulatory burden for investment funds.
- The CSA hosted a virtual roundtable on environmental, social and governance (ESG) related regulatory issues in asset management in September.
- The OSC hosted a virtual roundtable in October to discuss broader diversity (beyond gender) on boards and in executive officer positions, with a specific focus on targets, term limits and diversity data.

|
OSC in the Community is an outreach program that takes the OSC's regulatory mandate from Bay Street to Main Street. OSC staff travel to communities across Ontario to talk to people about making informed financial decisions and avoiding investment fraud.

OSC Dialogue 2021 - November 23, 2021

Creating Conditions for Growth is the theme of this year’s OSC annual conference, OSC Dialogue 2021. Speakers will discuss the role of the financial community, regulators and policymakers in fostering vibrant capital markets as we emerge from the COVID-19 pandemic. The virtual conference takes place on November 23. The conference includes a panel called: A brave new world of retail investing. Panelists will discuss the growth of retail investor activity in the capital markets including the economic, technological, and social forces behind the trends, and what they mean for the future of investing.
