COBB COUNTY EXHIBITION

FOR STUDENTS:

• Wear wicking shirts, shorts, long black socks and marching shoes.
• In lieu of band class Monday, students will have a “study hall” so they should bring work to complete! 
• Report to the cafeteria after school at 4 for dinner (pizza, applesauce, water/Gatorade will be served).
• Buses depart at 5 pm.

FOR PARENTS:

• Students are expected back to Pope around 11:00 pm.
• Where: McEachern High School (2400 New Macland Rd, Powder Springs)
• When: 7 pm start time (Pope performs at 8 pm)
• Tickets for Cobb County Exhibition will be sold online and at the gate. Organizers are STRONGLY ENCOURAGING buying your tickets online before the event. Click here to buy tickets online at GoFan. Tickets are $5 for adults, $3 for students (online pricing is $4 plus $1 service charge per ticket for adults, $2 plus $1 service charge per ticket for students). Preschool children are admitted free with a parent. CCSD employees get in free with ID (employee only).
• Be sure to buy tickets for the October 11th show.

SPRAYBERRY SOUTHERN INVITATIONAL INFORMATION

• Call time at Pope High School is 8:45am. Rehearsal is 9:00am - noon. Dismissal from Pope at 12:45pm.
• Call time at Sprayberry High School is 4:30pm.
• Parents, please note: There is no bus transportation and no meals served for this competition since it's in our East Cobb neighborhood. Please plan accordingly.

COMMUNITY SHOW
Pope Band Community Show is coming up on Tuesday, October 26th!

This is the perfect opportunity to come out and see Earworm one last time! Ask you friends, family, neighbors to come out and support Pope Band.

• Show starts at 7:00pm
• Food trucks will be open for service from 5:00pm - 7:00pm. before the show for delicious dinner options!
• Tickets must be purchased ahead of time on GoFan

Band on the Run 5K

Registration is $25 until MIDNIGHT TONIGHT (after which it increases to $35).
 

The race is Saturday, October 30th at 5 pm at Pope High School. Don’t miss out on all the fun - and tell your friends, family and neighbors!

PINE STRAW SALES

• Three delivery dates - October 29th, November 5th, and November 12th
• Payment due one week prior to delivery date.
• Bales are $5/each, minimum order of 10 bales
• $15 delivery fee, delivery to greater East Cobb area only.

TRUNK-OR-TREAT OCTOBER 28TH!

Our 2nd annual Band Trunk-or-Treat event is coming up on Thursday, October 28th. kids will report to the band room at 6 pm (no practice that night) and participating parents will report to the PAC lot at 6 pm to get set up.
Trunk-or-Treating starts at 6:30. Get ready for a fun night!
Here are the details:

• Purchase and bring enough candy to hand out to about 130 kids.
• Drive to the PAC parking lot at 6pm Thursday evening. We will have parents helping get cars parked. We want to be set up and ready to go when practice ends at 6:30pm.
• Pope Band will be providing the trick-or-treat bags for the kids.
• If you’ve participated in trunk-or-treat events in the past, you know that some people decorate their cars. If you want to decorate, fantastic! If you don’t, that’s ok too. We just want as many parents to participate as possible to make it a fun event for the kids, so please don’t stay away because you don’t have time to decorate. Just come with candy!

To help us adhere to COVID safety protocols:

• Please no homemade treats.
• Face masks are encouraged.
• PBPA will provide food safety gloves to hand out treats. Please place treats into their treat bags; do not let the kids reach for treats.

• If you have wanted to learn more about chaperoning, but weren’t sure what to do… here’s your chance! Sign up to SHADOW a chaperone!
• Slots will be available at Tuesday practices for a shortened window of time. Come at 6:15 and see how things are done without the pressure of leading yourself!
• You’ll be trained by one of our experienced parents and get to ask all the questions you might have on your mind.
