GREETINGS AND WELCOME BACK TO OUR FALL 2021 MEETING
 Be sure to join your neighbors and colleagues at Bear Trap Dunes on Wednesday, October 20, from 11 to 1:30 for the next meeting of the Shore Democrats that will feature one of our members, Dr. Ted Spickler!  Ted, a Delaware volunteer with Citizens Climate Lobby, will discuss some of the political issues facing us as the earth gradually gets worse over the global warming epidemic. Ted believes that biggest problems facing the country involve building the political will to address various necessary actions needed to assure our grandchildren and great grandchildren a healthy life as they grow into their future.  

Also with us on the 20th will be Harry Gold, the Digital Chair of the 38th RD Democratic. Harry will share with us information about an initiative of the 38th that seeks your participation and expertise in addressing areas of concern that include, among other topics, identifying candidates for office, planned growth, public safety, the environment, and education. If you receive email from the 38th, you have already received a letter explaining the plan. A letter will be sent to our mailing list next week.

⦁    NICOISE SALAD- Seared tuna, tomato, potato, haricot verts, hard boiled eggs, & olives over butter lettuce with mustard vinaigrette on the side
⦁    BUTTERNUT SQUASH RAVIOLI- In a sage butter sauce
⦁    TURKEY WRAP- Curried turkey salad, with cashews, carrot & cucumber served in a flour tortilla.

The cost of the luncheon, gratuity included, is $22 for members and $25 for nonmembers.

Briefly, looking forward to November, our speakers will be Barbara Shamp, local author, who will talk with us about her new novel, A Wife in Watercolor based on the lives of two women who lived in the home of Robert Morris, Sr. in Oxford, Md. Also presenting will be Mitch Crane, a Shore Dems member who has declared his potential candidacy for the 6th District seat being vacated by Ernie Lopez. A formal announcement will follow once the redistricting process has produced new maps.
