Tricky Tray 2021

From MCCLV's Fundraising/Tricky Tray Chair Cheryl Miller:

Dear Friends & Supporters,

Tricky Tray 2021 will be held on Saturday, November 6th at the American Club of Coplay-Pavilion.

Our theme this year is MASKERADE ... with a nod to the pandemic that kept us away last year ... so feel free to come dressed in your favorite “quarantine couture” (tastefully, of course)!  MASKS WILL BE REQUIRED REGARDLESS OF VACCINATION STATUS. We intend to hold this event as safely as possible. In lieu of our usual buffet luncheon, we will be offering beverages and individually wrapped snacks and desserts, therefore, our ticket price is being lowered this year to $20/per person. Also, we will be capping our ticket sales at 100 people this year, so we won’t over-crowd the room.

SO HOW CAN YOU HELP?
In years past, we’ve relied on our congregation and community to donate themed baskets, gift cards to be used with other items to create a basket or cash donations used to purchase larger raffle items. If you are in a position this year to make any donations, you can bring items to MCCLV on Sundays. If you need basket donation ideas, we will have our Tricky Tray basket board in the foyer of the church on Sundays through October.

We’ve also had people in past years who were talented in the art of quality crafts: knitted and crocheted items, quilts, wreaths, woodcrafts, jewelry, etc. If this is something in which you are talented, you may want to donate a handcrafted item.

If donating anything is a hardship for you at this time, take a look around your home ... perhaps there is an item you purchased at one time and never used or were gifted something that you’ve never opened. Perhaps there’s something like that you’d like to donate ... cleaning a little bit of space out of your home for a good cause at the same time!

You can also help by purchasing a ticket to the event. Tickets are available for sale every Sunday after church in the lobby or you can send a message to TrickyTrayMCCLV@gmail.com and someone will contact you. It’s a fun day and win or lose, you’ll have a great time!

Tricky Tray is our biggest yearly fundraising event.  We raise this money to help support the communities and missions served by MCCLV, and from our 2019 profits, we have been able to help fund MCCLV’s food card ministry, the Adam Blake Irvine Memorial Scholarship at NCC for transgender students, the Bradbury-Sullivan LGBT Community Center, social justice initiatives, new equipment to be able to continue our online streaming worship experience ... and so much more! Remember, all donations are tax deductible. THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT!
