Dear friends!
Today, October 7, 2021, day of our Lady of the Holy Rosary, our Dicastery is glad to share with you the Rosary for the Family produced with the Pope's Worldwilde Prayer Network, and other resources and pastoral materials published over this Amoris Laetitia Family Year, among which also the Rosary for engaged Couples.

Rosary for the Family
“Prayer is the breath of faith”, explains Pope Francis. Even in the family “it also means encouraging family prayer during the week”, because “the family that prays together stays
together”. (AL n. 227)
Praying the Holy Rosary is a special time to share with one’s family members and other families as well. During the year dedicated to St. Joseph, praying the Rosary as a family is also a concrete way of obtaining plenary indulgence. In any case, “this can do immense good for our families”. The Family Rosary was carefully created by the Pope's Worldwide Prayer Network and the Dicastery for the Laity, Family and Life on the occasion of the "Amoris Laetitia" Family Year and is one of the resources the Dicastery is making available in this special year dedicated to the Family.

Praying the Rosary together: a bold proposal!
In the Year of St. Joseph, a Decree issued by the Apostolic Penitentiary on December 8, 2020 on the granting of Indulgences states that the special gift of a Plenary Indulgence will be granted under various conditions, including "the recitation of the Holy Rosary in families and among engaged couples." A beautiful gift! Until December 8, 2021, engaged couples will be able to obtain a Plenary Indulgence by reciting the Holy Rosary and fulfilling the usual conditions (sacramental confession, Holy Communion and prayer for the intentions of the Holy Father: Our Father, Hail Mary).

The official website of the 10th World Meeting of Families
The path of preparation for the Tenth World Meeting of Families, which will be held from 22 to 26 June 2022 in Rome and at the same time in dioceses all over the world, is enriched by a new useful tool after the prayer, the image and the official hymn. It is the official website www.romefamily2022.com presented during the Press Conference on Thursday 30 September at the Vatican Press Office.
The website, currently in three languages, "in these months of approach, will serve mainly to disseminate content that can help dioceses, movements, associations, to organize events, reflections and meetings in local communities". Don Walter Insero, director of the Communications Office of the Vicariate of Rome, explains that "there will be a space for the seven catecheses, which will be published progressively, to which videos with testimonies will be linked. A section of the site is dedicated to collecting the materials produced by the Diocese of Rome and the Dicastery, available to all and downloadable free of charge: logos, videos, texts, suggestions".
Another section of the site is reserved for concrete help to three projects in the city of Rome that support families in difficulty, an initiative that, comments Cardinal Vicar De Donatis, "will aim to express feelings of solidarity and support for a number of families who, partly because of the pandemic situation, are in conditions of poverty".

Together with the website, the official hymn of the X World Meeting of Families has been presented with a video during the Press Conference for the Presentation of the X World Meeting of Families, held in the Vatican Press Office on September 30, 2021.

A press conference was held in live streaming from the Holy See Press Office for the presentation of the X World Meeting of Families, to be held in Rome from June 22 to 26, 2022, on the theme of "Family Love: a vocation and a path to holiness".
