BEP Executive Director, Amanda Othoudt will kick off the membership meeting and introduce our Breakfast Sponsor, Greater St. Cloud Development Corporation (GSDC).

GSDC will provide us with some key highlights of their organization and talk about their work in collaborating with workforce stakeholders.

Finally, we will welcome our Workforce Panelist: Pat Welty, from St. Cloud Refrigeration, Toby Opstedal from Knife River, Dena Hagberg from Jimmy's Pour House, Mike Jungwirth from Hydrostat, Inc. and Jennifer Erickson, Director of Customized Training from St. Cloud Technical and Community College to the stage to discuss recent trends and successes in attracting new workforce and their efforts to retain their existing workforce both during the onset of the pandemic and through today with our extremely tight employment situation.

Sauk Rapids-Rice High School Job Fair

Attention BEP Members! Emma Miller and Grace Loidolt are Juniors at Sauk Rapids-Rice High School and have asked us to share the following information with you regarding a Job Fair they are hosting for High School Students on October 18, 2021.

They are requesting businesses in the St. Cloud, Sartell, and Sauk Rapids to participate in the SRRHS Job Fair.

This is a FREE event! It will take place at the Sauk Rapids-Rice High School in the commons and forum areas. As a business that is participating, you will be provided with a table and two chairs and they will work to accommodate any other requests. This date will provide high attendance because it is also the night of our Parent/Teacher Conferences and a choir concert. Further, they will promote the job fair throughout the school using video messages, posters, and announcements to ensure the success of the SRRHS Job Fair.

Not only do they want to give your business the opportunity to hire some amazing students, They also want their classmates to have the opportunity to apply, and potentially interview for a job with easy access. We all understand how hard it is to find good help right now, and they are eager to put your business and future employees together.

Celebrating Manufacturing in Minnesota during the month of October!

The month will include tours of area manufacturers and will feature both in-person and virtual tours. It's not too late for our Central MN Manufacturers to offer in-person or virtual tours, reach out to local schools and offer presentations about manufacturing career pathways, sponsor the school's VEX Robotics programs, or set up scholarships with local colleges.
