This document summarizes the progress made by the Global WASH Cluster (GWC) for the first half of 2021, it includes key results achieved and challenges faced. It also highlights key recommendations and outlines major ongoing initiatives and collaborations.

In addition, the report reflects upon how the new working environment, due to Covid-19 has impacted the GWC and our work this year.

• Update on the governance of the GWC;
• Impacts of Covid-19 on operational support;
• Update on key achievements and main constraints in 2021;
• Update on the progress and priorities of the GWC’s Technical Working Groups (TWiGs); and
• Overview of major ongoing initiatives and collaboration with the WASH sector.
