Dear de Sede aficionados:
What a comeback! What an experience! What a success! Our presentation at Supersalone in Milan was a grandiose spectacle: the new products by de Sede did more than bring a blissful smile to the visitors’ faces. The experts were delighted with our sculptures and convinced of our innovative energy: following the cancellation in 2020, at this early fall 2021 edition of the world’s largest design event, de Sede not only received considerable praise but also managed to present interested visitors with the secret star at the de Sede stand in hall 4: |

Tatzelwurm 2.0: The new DS-602

The flexible, endless snake-shaped seat, which de Sede launched by ten years after its founding in 1972, strengthened the reputation of our manufacture: here, perfect craftsmanship joins forces with exquisite design, straight-lined functionality with timeless materiality. Whether in Singapore or New York, Stockholm, Cape Town or Paris: back in the day, DS-600 was the ultimate must-have – and by far not just in the living rooms of the stars.

Even then, there were countless ideas for developing the Tatzelwurm further. Sometimes, however, dreams end up in pigeonholes where they are left behind, only to be revived at a later date – as is the case today:

a legendary five decades later, taking their inspiration from the idea that the world had moved closer together, the designers at de Sede risked a further development of the Tatzelwurm: DS-602. The charm of this new iconic sculpture is that it fits in with the modular, timeless language of design that characterizes our manufacture and offers a back-to-back function to create new, extendable seating options.

This sophisticated new conceptual design also gives the materials a further lead role to play: alongside the traditional de Sede leather covers, fabric variants are no longer a fantasy, either.
