Learning Love Through Cooperation

Dear Subscriber,

You've heard the quotes from Srila Prabhupada.

You know Krishna is a cowherd boy.

Theoretically we're trying to make it to that eternal cowherd community in the sky.

But do you know the names of everyone in the herd at Goloka Prema Dhama?

Do you know who is whose child, who likes to eat what — who likes to be scratched where?

If all you've heard about the value of spending time with cows from the sadhus and the sastra doesn't yet have you visiting Yashoda and Manohara and everyone else regularly yourself —

Then Maybee these stunning reviews from our recent 'Cow Cuddling' guests via AirBnB Experiences will inspire you to take advantage of the amazing opportunity we've been given to spend time with these special souls:

Megan:

“Felt so relaxed and comfortable the moment we set foot on the farm. We were welcomed warmly and made to feel like visiting old friends. The cows are friendly and absolutely lovely — it was our first experience to be so close with them and something we will both never forget. The farm is also gorgeous and peaceful. Definitely a fine way to spend a Sunday afternoon. :)”

Brendan:

“This was a unique and special experience for my wife and I. Sidharth was a gracious host and made sure we felt comfortable with the cows. The cows all had different personalities and it made me appreciate their inner lives being that close to them. The farm is a special place and I left feeling more connected to myself and nature. Remember to wear clothes you don’t mind getting dirty.”

Lynn:

“This was an amazing experience that everyone in the area should have! The host was great and led us around the property and assisted with the cow cuddles. The story of this community is truly exceptional. Can’t wait to come back again!”

Hearts are being touched, lives are changing — just spending a few minutes with our cows and our friends at beautiful GPD.

Karuna shared with me that the first guests of the program were so moved they donated triple the event fee for the time they spent with him and the cows.

There is a Japanese saying — 'The most expensive things are free.'

Sometimes that means a thing given free comes with heavy expectations from the giver.

Other times it means we can be so close to something so good that we forget its value.

Okay, one quote from Srila Prabhupada:

“[Krishna’s] first business is to give all comfort to the cows and the brahmanas. In fact, comfort for the brahmanas is secondary, and comfort for the cows is His first concern.”

Collective Counting

Each of us in the community may be making some effort to share the love with the world in various ways, as we are inspired. One of these ways that a number of us are attempting is to share books on spiritual topics. To encourage each other in this service here's a collective count from last week:
