50 Days to 50

As we start our official 50 day countdown to our 50th National Day, we also welcome the world to the UAE, to witness the World's Greatest Show. We take a moment today to recognise all the visions that were achieved and the dreams that were actualised with the inception of Expo 2020.

We are indeed a nation of Dreamers Who Do, from the early dreamers who built our country and imagined a future we live in today, to the dreamers of today and the shapers of tomorrow who will lead this great nation forward.

We are making history, as we look towards the next 50 years and conceive many of the “firsts'' to come. With that passion and commitment, let's imagine our future today, and join the nation as we celebrate our 50 days to our 50th National Day.

NATIONAL DAY

Nationwide Celebration Activities for the 50th UAE National Day

For the first time in the history of the UAE, celebrations of the National Day begins 50 days before 2 December to mark the country’s Golden Jubilee milestone.

The initiative, titled "50 days to 50", invites all those who call the UAE home to participate in the celebrations by following a series of activations, rituals, and challenges on the official UAE National Day social media platforms @OfficialUAEND.

Vernacular Memories

A strong sense of community is what shapes the culture of the UAE. Parks, sports clubs, theatres, community centres are spaces that allow people to mingle, share ideas, discover new hobbies and celebrate special moments together.

The Land of Dreamers who Do

As the UAE opens its doors to Expo 2020 Dubai, there is budding curiosity about the National Pavilion. How does a country that emphasises human progress, coexistence and transformation choose to represent itself at this global event?
