On Behalf of the PEACE Project

Training schedule September 2021-March 2022

HEP would like to share the following information from the PEACE project.

The PEACE Team is in the midst of a six-month training and development blitz, covering contextual safeguarding, exploitation and some specific useful assessment tools.

Please see the PEACE Project training schedule below for dissemination to your team members. The training schedule is an important part of the PEACE Project legacy work and will hopefully go a long way to improving confidence and competence across the division (and wider) amongst colleagues having conversations with children and families about exploitation, around contextual approaches to safeguarding children and using different tools and approaches to understand and respond to risk.

The sessions available are:

  • Child Criminal Exploitation / Child Sexual Exploitation
  • Contextual Safeguarding for Frontline Professionals
  • Contextual Safeguarding for Schools
  • Peer Group Assessments
  • Neighbourhood / Location Assessments
  • Exploitation Train the Trainer (this is a 2 part course, so limited availability of places)

The link below includes the instructions for confirming places on the sessions and please note that if anyone is interested in the Exploitation Train the Trainer sessions, there will be an expectation that they go on to deliver future sessions of CCE/CSE training (we will be compiling a register of staff who attend this) to future cohorts of Hounslow staff and members of our local communities.

Please do take up as much of the offer as you can, this is hugely important work in bettering our contextual understanding and shared responses to harm across the borough.
