Meet The Team - Jason in Support
I was born in Oamaru, also living in Dunedin, Christchurch and Auckland. We eventually settled in Waipu for my teenage years and developed a Macadamia Nut Orchard on ex Dairy land. I travelled a lot in my Twenties and lived in the US and UK working in hospitality. On return to NZ in the Nineties I studied at the School of Audio Engineering in Auckland, played in bands, and worked as a freelance audio engineer in the music industry. My wife and I moved to Wellington in 1997 to settle down and start a family and I took a job as Business Development Manager at Channel Z an Alternative Youth Radio Station and at RNZ in Wellington leading the Production Team where we worked on weekly shows, live music recordings, and Podcasts. In 2019 It was time for a change and so the Wairarapa is home for us now and our two adult children come and go from the city.

Finding a Support role at Harvest was a good fit for me, it’s great to be able to work close to home and still stay inside the Tech Industry. I’ve been here a year now and am enjoying being able to apply my experience and skills in different ways leading the Customer Support Team.

When we get the time, we head for Riversdale Beach on Wairarapa’s East Coast where we have a family Bach, it’s a great place for surfing, fishing, and catching crays. I can also be found in various stores digging through crates of vinyl looking for treasures to add to my slow growing record collection.
HyQuest TB7 Rain Gauge
We are now providing the recently released HyQuest TB7 rain gauge as our mid-tier rain gauge. The TB7 builds off the success of its big brothers – the meteorological grade TB3 and TB6. The TB7 features an excellent debris filter, WMO standard 200mm diameter catchment area and excellent long-term accuracy. Please contact us for more information and pricing.
Harvest In-House Manufacturing
Here at Harvest we aim to manufacture in-house as much as possible – we love Kiwi made! Our manufacturing team now numbers fifteen and work out of a purpose built 525 square meter portion of our head office. As part of our commitment to in-house manufacturing we operate our own pick and place (SMT) machines (pictured below). These machines, and their skilled operators, allow us to assemble circuit boards using components as small as 1mm x 0.5mm.
Combined Temperature/Relative Humidity/Barometric Pressure Sensor
We've now switched from manufacturing both a Combined Temperature/Relative Humidity (TH) Sensor and a Combined Temperature/Relative Humidity/Barometric Pressure (THP) Sensor to only providing a THP sensor for all situations providing humidity monitoring. As such, we've reduced the price to match the standard TH sensor pricing. Please contact us for pricing and further information.
Web Apps are now FREE
All web apps are now provided free of charge. A Harvest web app is designed to display your data in a mobile friendly format. Each web app is individually setup and customized by Harvest staff. You won't find it on an app store, it is located at app.harvest.com. If you are interested please contact us
