One play away. If you thought an Arkansas-Ole Miss game was going to be smooth sailing, you haven't been paying attention the last few decades. From a 7OT thriller to 4th-and-25, this is a series that has produced some of the wildest finishes in college football.
And this past weekend was no exception.
Despite the loss, there were more big plays in Oxford than you can shake a stick at.
Here's this morning's six-pack from the latest in a long line of crazy finishes against Ole Miss...
1️⃣ First Of Many: What's more impressive—the play design from offensive coordinator Kendal Briles to fake the sweep to Raheim Sanders, KJ Jefferson running in untouched for his first of six touchdowns on the day, or the fact this score came at the tail end of a 15-play drive?
2️⃣ Kicking And Screaming: Let it be known that two Ole Miss defenders made contact with Trelon Smith more than seven yards out from the end zone. He still scored.
3️⃣ Opportunity Knox: After last year when he didn't find the end zone, it was good to see Trey Knox finding the soft spot in the Ole Miss defense and getting in for six.
4️⃣ Up For Grabs: No words could do this justice. In back-to-back plays, Treylon Burks went up and absolutely MOSS'D his defender to come down with sideline grabs that set up the next play...
5️⃣ Jefferson Airplane: Have you ever seen Superman and KJ Jefferson in the same room? Nope, me neither.
6️⃣ Right As Rain: It wasn't the result we were looking for, but it was the right call from the Head Hog. The two-point conversion that decided one of the wildest college football games of the season.
Arkansas returns to practice today in the lead up to their next matchup against Auburn on CBS.
