UPG & HEZ

The Peninsula Aero Club has recommenced flight training for their final year VET students so HEZ is back flying occasionally.

Super Decathlon UPG has been flown monthly per CASA guidance and Lycoming's recommendation to minimise corrosion. It is working well so ready for everyone's return!

The hire rate for UPG has been kept at $340 per hour and compares well with others around especially with the higher costs at Moorabbin. Experienced instructors available for MPPC, tailwheel, spin and aerobatic endorsement training. We specialise in competition aerobatics and low level aerobatic endorsements.

The Next Challenge

Thanks to those who generously donated to the Starlight Tour de Kids Challenge - we raised $1308.

We're still in lockdown so I may as well continue. This month, I'm riding 100 km in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer!

Why am I doing this? Because cancer is the biggest killer of children from disease in Australia. Every 2 minutes, a child is diagnosed with cancer.

My challenge will be tough (who writes this stuff?), but it's nothing compared to what these brave kids face every day of their lives as they battle this terrible disease.

Kids should be living life, NOT fighting for it.

So I am taking on this 100 km challenge to end childhood cancer and save little lives.

UPCOMING EVENTS

The National Aerobatic Championships have just been cancelled so not a lot to mention here.

The Victorian Aerobatic Championships will be at Tocumwal, NSW, on the Easter long weekend between 14 and 18 April 2022.

It would be good to see Super Decathlon VH-UPG and Cessna A152 VH-HEZ both competing there again - let me know if you are interested and I'd be happy to help you get there.
