This fall, the College and Career Center is hosting virtual college visits. These visits are held after school in 30-minute increments from 3:00 - 6:00pm. BREAST CANCER AWARENESS MONTH  

It is Breast Cancer Awareness Month… Check your boobs and have your mom do the same!! About 1 in 8 American women will develop invasive breast cancer in her lifetime…so, you know someone that had or has the condition! Breast cancer is the second leading cause of cancer death in women after lung cancer. Yet, breast cancer is highly treatable if detected early. Treatment starts with detection…so do not hesitate to do a monthly self-exam routine while in bed or in the shower, and simply look for the following signs:
 
· Change in the look, feel or size of the breast/nipple.
· Dimpling or puckering of the skin.
· Lump, hard knot or thick spot in the breast tissue.
· Nipple discharge/rash/pulling inward.
· Pain in one spot that won’t go away.
· Warmth, redness, or dark spots on the skin.
