Koinonia Prayer List

PRAYER REQUESTS (joys and concerns) should be called in or e-mailed to the church office. With your permission, they will be listed in the Koinonia prayer list, and announced in worship so that the church family can pray for the mentioned needs. Please keep the office updated on the requests.

Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness; for we do not know how to pray as we ought, but that very Spirit intercedes with sighs too deep for words.   Romans 8:26

  • From the POV - Vincennes, IN, Rev. Frank Harmon - Indiana Presbyterian church is sometimes referred to as the "church in the wildwood," located off highway 61 on Lower Indiana Road.  Our church is community oriented, contributing to a local food bank and representing our church in local parades and activities.  Our church supports Pyoca Camp and Retreat center with our youth enjoying a week of camping and Christian fellowship.  Our Sunday school department organizes an annual fall "truck or treat" party, an Easter egg hunt, plus our summer vacation Bible school.   Faith Learning Academy, a preschool, is located at our church.  In addition, our prayer blanket ministry is a blessing to our community.  Each fall our members work together to make our famous fricassee to sell.  Indeed, Indiana Presbyterian Church is a vibrant church family growing in Christian faith, fellowship, and good works serving our church and community.

Weekly Prayers
Morning:

Lord of the morning, and Ruler of all Seasons,
hear my prayer and have mercy on my soul.
Sine upon me, Lord, and I shall be light like the day;
I will sing Your praise in light while I marvel;
may the morning awaken me to the praise of Your Godhead
and I will pursue the study of Your Word all of the day ....
The morning and the evening shall praise You, Lord,
in their changes, and will present You the sweet incense
of their offering.
Amen
   -- Syrian Orthodox Prayer
Evening:

Thou that has given so much to me,
Give one thing more, a grateful heart.
Not thankful when it pleases me,
As if Thy blessings had spare days;
But such a heart whose very pulse
May be Thy praise.
Amen
