3rd Quarter Heartbeat Update
Rather than meeting two Sundays in a row for the Heartbeat Update and for Charge Conference, the Leadership Board invites you to join in for  Charge Conference on Zoom on Sunday, October 17th at 2pm!

Dear Sisters, Brothers, and Siblings, in Christ,
Many of you have been praying for Paul Michaelian ever since his diagnosis of cancer.  Paul is one of the most encouraging, positive, and uplifting disciples I have had the joy to know in my life!  He always has an encouraging word.  He is always looking for ways he can lift others up!  In fact, when he learned that my family was experiencing COVID, he texted and asked if he could bring me a meal!

We love Paul and Michele and we are holding them in prayer.  The recent MRI Paul had from Friday showed that despite painful chemo, the cancer has not diminished and has grown.  Paul begins a new and different chemo this Friday and we pray that this chemo helps to control the cancer.  Their doctor is also sending them to Duke to access clinical trials.  We pray for a quick appointment time with Duke so that they can experience more help.

Courthouse Community United Methodist Church will be holding a continual prayer vigil for Paul Michaelian from 6 pm Friday 10/15 through 6 pm Sunday 10/17.

Click here or the image above to sign up for a time slot to pray for Paul wherever you are.

All are also invited to come to an in-person vigil on Sunday at 4 pm  located in the front yard of their home at
2104 Fence Post Court
Virginia Beach, VA 23453-7307

Your church wants every one of you to know that we love all of you!
Whenever you need prayer-- we are here.
Your church loves you.

No matter what you are going through- Jesus is with you and so is your church family.
You are never alone.

In God's Love,

Covid Mitigations
Due to the circulating and highly contagious Delta variant, CDC currently recommends universal indoor masking by all students (age 2 and older), staff, and visitors to K-12 schools, regardless of their vaccination status. Therefore, our PRG Team has decided that effective immediately, ALL participants and volunteers in children's ministry (Nursery, Sunday School, Wednesday Nights, special events, etc.) are required to wear a mask regardless of vaccination status when indoors.

Our Youth Ministry is looking for a few assistants to hang out with our awesome youth on Sundays and Wednesdays! If you are interested in joining us or know someone who would be a good fit, get in touch with our Director of Youth Ministries, Donna Smith, at donnas@ccumc.net.
