Hello friends,

We find ourselves in your inbox at the height of the harvest season, and o
ur incredible production team and harvest apprentices have been crushing it—quite literally.

On the day this photo was shot, we crushed 72,000 pounds of organic California Bartlett pears, and we expect to crush, ferment, and distill more than 550,000 pounds in all before the year's harvest is done.

If you’re a fan of our flagship Pear Brandy, luscious Spiced Pear Liqueur, or any of our other spirits, please join us in gratitude for the best production crew and harvest apprentices in the game. CJ, James, Natasha, Zack, Alicia, and Kevin: Thank you for all your hard work and dedication!

And speaking of our team…

LOST LANTERN 2021 SINGLE CASK #5:
ST. GEORGE CALIFORNIA SINGLE MALT

Heads up, whiskey fans: Lost Lantern Whiskey, an independent bottler of American whiskey, is releasing a single cask of our single malt!

Distilled from beer then aged for three years in a 228-liter cask with a medium toast and toasted heads, this bottling stands apart from our Lot series of single malt, Baller Single Malt Whiskey, and any of our other whiskey releases. Lost Lantern founders Nora and Adam selected this unique cask for its distinct flavor profile, describing it as "perhaps the freshest and grassiest whiskey we’ve ever tried."

This release will not be sold at the distillery bottle shop, but approximately 250 bottles—at 107.3 proof—will be available for pre-sale on Lost Lantern’s site starting tomorrow (Friday, October 15).

Also: Master distiller Lance Winters and head distiller Dave Smith will join Nora and Adam on Instagram Live next Wednesday, October 20, at 4pm Pacific / 7pm Eastern to chat about the cask, our whiskey-making process, and why they set out to create an independent bottler. To tune in, make sure to follow @stgeorgespirits and @lostlanternwhiskey on Instagram and join us!

FEATURED COCKTAIL

Our take on a classic Boulevardier features our big, bold Baller Single Malt Whiskey and Bruto Americano bitter aperitivo liqueur. This is a wonderful fall sipper that'll warm you right up.

BALLERVARDIER
1 oz Baller Single Malt Whiskey
1 oz Bruto Americano
1 oz sweet vermouth
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Stir all ingredients with ice then strain and serve over large ice. Garnish with an orange twist.

If you prefer a heavier pour of whiskey, we wouldn't be mad if you opted for 1.5 oz Baller while keeping the Bruto and sweet vermouth at 1 oz. Enjoy!
