SoCalREN Revolving Savings Fund

SoCalREN’s Revolving Savings Fund supports energy efficiency upgrades for small to midsize projects with a no minimum, 0% interest loan. Agencies can submit an application form with the support of a SoCalREN Project Manager. If eligible, your agency will be allocated the funds by check within two weeks of executing the loan agreement.

Utility On-Bill Financing (SCE & SoCalGas)

Utility On-Bill Financing (OBF) is available for energy efficiency projects for all SCE* and SoCalGas business customers eligible for utility incentives. OBF offers a no-interest, no-fee loan repaid through the customer’s monthly energy bill, with applications accepted on a rolling basis.

*SCE's OBF application deadline for Custom OBF applications is December 23rd, 2021. SCE is no longer accepting OBF applications for Deemed projects. Additional OBF                                                                        opportunities may become available through SCE's third-party programs. Your SoCalREN                                                            Project Manager will provide additional details as they become available.

California Energy Commission (CEC) Energy Conservation Assistance Act Low-Interest Loans

The California Energy Commission’s Energy Conservation Assistance Act (ECEAA) offers 1% interest loans to public agencies for energy efficiency and generation projects and 0% interest loans to qualifying school districts. Applications are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.

IBank California Lending for Energy & Environmental needs (CLEEN) Center Low-interest Financing

The IBank CLEEN Center offers financing for public agency energy generation, conservation, and storage projects through the Statewide Energy Efficiency Program (SWEEP) and Light Emitting Diode (LED) Street Lighting Program.
