WISH Events
Schedule Builder Party

Join WISH to learn how to use Schedule Builder for registration and get advice from upperclassmen about classes! Food will be provided.
SiFive Company Visit
When: Tuesday, November, 2nd 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm
Where: RSVP for Zoom

Are you interested in what actually goes into a chip? If so, join our event with SiFive, the leading provider of commercial RISC-V processor IP. They will be talking about what they do as a company, what's it like in the day of their life as a SiFive Engineer, and there will be food provided!
BAE Day
When: Saturday, November, 6th 9:00 am - 2:00 pm

The Society of Women Engineers annual Building an Engineer Day is coming up this fall quarter, and we are hoping to have WISH participate in it this year! For our activity, we will be doing a Scratch activity! Fill out this interest form if you would like to take part in BAE Day!
Sk8r Boi 2.0 Build Day!
When: Saturday, November, 6th 10:00 am - 1:30 pm

WISH Tech team is having build days to work on Sk8r boi 2.0!!! This is a quarter-long project to make a mini remote-controlled/Bluetooth-enabled skateboard! All experience levels and majors are welcome! We’ll also have lunch :)
Veritas Technologies LLC Info Session
When: Friday, November, 26th 11:00 am - 12:00 pm

Info session to learn about Veritas Technologies LLC. They design and develop enterprise data management software solutions that help organizations to protect their mission-critical data, as well as offers cloud data management, data protection, compliance readiness, and storage optimization services. In attendance, we will have Emily Cai from University relations, Hanna Alanizi (Technical Intern), Leanne Farmer (Global UR Manager), and Monique Michel (UR Intern).

CS Tutoring Center Looking Tutors!

The CS department tutoring center is looking for tutors! If you haven't heard of us before, we offer free tutoring for the intro classes and limited help for 357, and we tutor Monday through Thursday. If you need help with anything in those classes feel free to drop by, and if you've completed or are currently enrolled in 357 we're looking to hire tutors, so send me an email with a copy of your resume at amshin@calpoly.edu. There are flyers up around building 14 and on the doors to the upstairs CS labs if you want the URL.

Women of Color Engineering Mentorship Program Applications

The Cal Poly Women’s Engineering Program (WEP) has developed a new Women of Color Engineering Mentorship Program (WoCEMP) and would like to invite you to join. The WEP’s Women of Color Mentorship Program aims to provide an empowering community for women of color in engineering by connecting them with women in industry who can guide and assist them through their college career and help them prepare for their transition to industry. 

This is a great opportunity to network, gain insight from women of color in industry, and hear about their experiences. We will be hosting our first event in November, if you are interested in attending and being a mentee, please fill out this interest form. We will be following up with more details closer to the event.

Additionally, if you are interested in joining the WoCEMP planning committee please email: gundala@calpoly.edu. We are looking for student volunteers for publicity/social media/outreach, managing mentor/mentee relations, and event planning
