Farley Branch Update
The city of Farley and the Dubuque County Library District are undertaking a conceptual planning process to determine the size of a potential new library branch, possible locations in Farley for both that branch and a temporary location, and other amenities desired by the community. Public input is crucial to this process. Anyone interested is invited to attend one or more of the upcoming public meetings.
- Public Meeting #1 Thursday, Oct. 28, 6:00 pm at Farley Memorial Hall
- Public Meeting #2 Tuesday, Nov. 9, 6:00 pm at Farley Memorial Hall
- SPARK Session #1 Monday, Nov. 15, 8:30 am - 5:30 pm at Farley Municipal Building
- Public Meeting #3 Monday, Nov. 15, 6:00 pm at Farley Municipal Building
- SPARK Session #2 Tuesday, Nov. 16, 8:30 am - 5:30 pm at Farley Municipal Building
- Public Meeting #4 Tuesday, Nov. 16, 6:00 pm at Farley Municipal Building
- Public Meeting #5 Tuesday, Nov. 30, 6:00 pm at Farley Memorial Hall
All meetings will be facilitated by the consultants from FEH Design. We are especially excited for the SPARK Sessions: all day design workshops where FEH architects will draw a variety of building possibilities based on the community’s input. Visit on these days to ask questions, make suggestions, and learn about the possibilities for the DCLD branch in Farley.

Peosta Branch at NICC Carpet Project
The Peosta Branch at NICC will be operating with adjusted services through the month of November while new carpet is installed. The goal is to continue with uninterrupted circulation desk staffing, however, the circulation desk may move temporarily to the coffee bar area across from the internet café.
Public computers available to county library patrons will be accessible in the Internet Café outside the library. The collection will be rearranged throughout the process and staff can assist you with locating or retrieving your desired materials.
As always, you may place holds for pick up or browse the collections at the library’s other branches during this time.
The project aims to be completed on December 9. Please watch the Northeast Iowa Community College Library website for the most up-to-date information about library access, hours, and services.
Through the duration of the carpet project, story time will not be held at the NICC/Peosta branch. Story time will be held at other DCLD branches on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and some Saturdays. Check the calendar for dates and times.
