Remembrance Day 2021

NIAGARA FALLS, ON - The City of Niagara Falls will be hosting a Remembrance Day Service to pay tribute to those who sacrificed for our freedoms. This year, the service will again be held outdoors at the Cenotaph beside the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Fairview Cemetery, located at 4501 Stanley Avenue on Thursday, November 11th, 2021 at 10:45 a.m.

Due to expanded COVID-safety allowances by the Province of Ontario, there are no restrictions on number of attendees this year, so all are welcome.  However, if physical distancing cannot be maintained, attendees are asked to wear face coverings when standing closer than 2 meters apart.

This annual observance will be live-streamed, so residents who are unable to attend the service can follow along from their computer or mobile device.  The live stream will be available on Thursday, November 11, 2021 beginning at 10:45 a.m.at:

Additionally, this year we are pleased to announce that an upgrade has been made to Niagara Veterans Memorial Highway signs, which are now installed in the area of the 420 and Stanley Avenue.  These new signs help to honour our veterans and share gratitude and respect for their sacrifice with all visitors coming in to Niagara Falls as they travel this special section of highway.
