Thanksgiving Fall Break
November 22nd - November 26th
No School

Happy Fall Soaring Heights Families,

It is hard to believe that we are already in November. Last Friday we had a very successful Halloween parade. It was so wonderful to see all of our students in costume and out having fun on the track. Thank you to all of the parents who were able to join us! The middle school also had their first dance. The Night of Fright was a huge success and our students had a fantastic time. A huge “thank you” to Beth Chaudhri and her student leadership class for doing such a wonderful job!

Congrats to our choir students on a fantastic concert last night. It is so great to listen to our students making music again and we love having all of our parents back in the building. Next Thursday, 11/11, is Veterans Day. We would like to honor our Veterans. Please submit a picture of your Veteran so we can add them to our Wall of Honor:  Veterans Day Submission  Please complete this by Wednesday, November 10th. We will post a picture of our Wall of Honor in the next newsletter after Veterans Day. We also have girls basketball registration opening up. The season will begin on 11/29, with registration opening on the 15th.

This week is the first week of our second trimester for our elementary students.  Middle school students are several weeks into our second quarter. It is hard to believe that we are only three weeks away from Thanksgiving! The temperatures have started to dip and we are experiencing how rapidly the temperatures can shift. Please remind your student to wear appropriate layers for our changing weather. We will still be going outside for recess time each day. We even had a light dusting of snow this week! Our school-wide kindness campaign wrapped up last week with Middle School students writing motivational letters to our Elementary Students. We are looking forward to celebrating Gratitude during the month of November. As a reminder, please continue to place signs in your passenger side care window with your students name and teachers name to help with the pick up process after school.

Please know we are committed to supporting each other and the continued success of Soaring Heights PK-8 students and staff. Please feel free to reach out with any questions.

Sincerely,
Cyrus Weinberger, Principal
Meghan Quirk, Assistant Principal
Krystal Trinkler, Dean of Students
Matt Romig, Dean of Students
