Letting go is hard; it's one of the toughest things about life and leadership. Whether it's a project, position or a person, whether it’s something that has been led and managed successfully, or something that has crumpled and died, when God says let go, it is hard, and it hurts .......

For centuries, black women have held leadership positions in a wide variety of domains in society. There are women in the Bible like Sheerah, Zipporah and the Queen of Sheba who most scholars believe were of African descent.
In early Christendom, and in the years that have followed, black and ethnic minority women have contributed significantly to the growth of Christianity through activism, missionary and social work. These women haven’t always been recognised for their achievements, instead they have had to fight against mountains of challenge and injustice. The same holds true for women of colour today. We have much to learn from these ordinary heroes.
The Sheerah Podcast is the result of the desire, held over a number of years by the hosts Lisa and Oge, to showcase these black and other ethnic minority women leaders. They would like others to hear their stories and learn from their experiences.
Even if you are not a woman of colour, hearing these stories will inspire you and help you become a better white ally.
