I spoke to committed vegan Toby Golds about not eating meat.. he writes :

"I have been vegan for over 20-years and seen some amazing changes in that time. I started mainly for reasons of animal welfare then became more and more aware of the environmental advantages over time and then more recently the health advantages. I I feel really good on a vegan diet energized and healthy and not over stuffed after meals. In the last two years since it has become more fashionable to be vegan there's been an absolute revolution in possibilities for eating out in restaurants. I get to enjoy eating out with my friends now rather than eating a bowl of boiled potatoes with baked beans or other strange vegan options, there's almost always at least two or three really good vegan options in most places now.
Of course one doesn't have to make some big commitment immediately we can just try cooking some vegan meals and building up the amount of plant based food that you eat."
