Each year the Fredericksburg Regional CoC conducts a Point-in-Time (PIT) count of all persons experiencing homelessness in our region. With the assistance of volunteers, we work to find all people in our region experiencing homelessness, both sheltered and unsheltered, on a given night in January. This data is used to understand our progress toward ending homelessness in our region as well as to inform decision making throughout the year.
This year's PIT count activities will be held on Thursday, January 27th and we are currently in search of volunteers to assist with administering surveys in the field. All volunteers will receive training on how to complete the surveys, so no experience is required. All volunteers must be 18 years or older to participate. If you are interested in participating, please complete the volunteer sign-up form by clicking here! Please share this information with friends, family, co-workers, and anyone else who may be interested in volunteering!
For any questions about the 2022 Winter PIT Count, please contact Anne Marie Kluempen at kluempen@gwregion.org or (540) 642-1581.
