Trustee Week – 1st to 5th November

This week is Trustee Week.  It’s a chance to celebrate the hard work our Trustees do, and to find resources that help them make their role easier.  Lots of information and resources will be shared on social media, but we have gathered some useful information below:

  • Trustee Training Session – 1st December from 10.30am – 12 noon.  This session is £15 for CAN members or £30 for non-Members. Please email office@communityactionnorfolk.org.uk for more information.

  • 26% of the cases we saw in September alone were directly related to Trustees.  It’s easy for Trustees to feel overwhelmed by their responsibilities, or to be unaware of just what they have taken on!  The web article here links to a series of articles about the different types of Trustee and what their role is to their charity.

  • Trustee recruitment resources: Taking on new Trustees is never easy.  You can advertise your Trustee (and other) roles on Voluntary Norfolk’s volunteering portal here. Reach Volunteering created this trustee recruitment cycle resource, providing practical help and inspiration to charities to recruit openly and inclusively.

  • Charity Commission resources: The Charity Commission have published a series of bitesize resources specially for Trustees, available here, and the Trustee Week website includes events and resources from all over the country.

Please use the button below to contact us if you or your Trustees would like some support.
