Dear First Free Church Family,
Many call this coming Sunday "Reformation Sunday." This is because on October 31, over 500 years ago, Martin Luther nailed his 95 Theses to the castle church door at Wittenberg, unwittingly sparking the Protestant Reformation.
Among the many biblical doctrines recovered during the Reformation was one popularly known as the "priesthood of all believers." This doctrine asserts many things. Among them, it affirms that all Christians - not just a special priestly class - can offer holy service to God in their work (1 Corinthians 10:31; 1 Peter 2:5-9; Hebrews 4:14-16).
With that in mind, we will conclude our October sermon series on "Changed Lives," looking at God's call and power to pursue excellence in our everyday work and ministries.
Don't forget to join us at 9:30 am for our Adult Bible Fellowships (ABF), Deepen for those new and newer to First Free, Breakfast Bible Bunch for our students, and Sunday School for children.
Finally, be sure to visit our new and updated website (www.myfefc.org) for an up-to-date ministry calendar. While there, you can learn more about the events and ministries listed above, read our latest blog posts, and more!
We can't wait to see you this Sunday! Come worship and bring a friend!
You're loved. Don't forget it.
