IT'S TIME!
The National School Board Association and AG Merrick Garland did us a favor!
This is the perfect time to ask your local school boards to adopt the PRIE Proclamation, affirming the rights of parents to influence policy and curriculum decisions, the heart of every school!

What Has Changed? The NSBA and NEA Admitted they don't want parent involvement!
First they sent a letter to the President attacking parents for speaking up at school board meetings. Next, President Biden put AG Garland in charge of a federal investigation identifying parents as "Domestic Terrorists"...and now the NSBA is apologizing. Too late!

The shift of influence in our public school system away from parent involvement is the issue. Parents care about  state and district policies infringing on their rights to make decisions about and with their minor children. The government has infringed upon those rights and it’s time to re-establish, and restore our rights!

Public Schools Belong to Us, the Citizens!
School boards are the elected governing bodies who decide policy, and select curriculum, and they have drifted away from their responsibly to represent the community and the parents. Legally, School Board Members have the power create and change school policies. Unfortunately, many Superintendents mislead members to comply with requests from state departments of education, and teacher’s unions. 

Our Proclamation is simple. We are asking school boards, "who do you represent?" The Proclamation establishes an understanding between school districts and their communities.  It's a win win for everyone. 

It’s time to re-establish parent’s rights in education!
My Board is Against Parents.
What's the Point?
Present the Proclamation, anyway! Fill the room with your supporters, and challenge the board to recognize your proper role. If they refuse to consider the Proclamation or vote against it, you will know where they stand and who to replace in the next election.

Parents/guardians of school age children need reassurance from you personally, that their parent/child relationship is crucial to their child’s success in school.

With a show of good faith through the adoption of this Parents’ Rights in Education Proclamation, parents/guardians will gain confidence that you fully support their rights in educational settings. This also affirms your belief that parents/guardians do have a vital role in the collaborative partnership between families, schools, and administrators. 

Please join our effort to officially recognize November as Parents’ Rights in Education Month.
