Our recent QZMS Alumnae WANG Qian 王倩 is from a small village in Anhui Province and studied Statistics at the Nanjing Normal University up until this summer. She is currently a Master's student at Xiamen University, continuing in the field of Applied Statistics.
While in undergrad, she found herself interested in courses such as Intensive computation of insurance and ordinary differential equations, which are closely related to our daily life and are more practical. She hopes to become a Data Analyst in the economics or insurance fields in the future.
In her spare time she used to play volleyball, but due to the high demands of graduate school admissions this year, she had to cut back. However, apparently she still finds time to put together presentations on Chinese history and speak to her mentor every month!
