Here are some cool things I learned this week!

1) On leaving an impact

☄️ The most impactful people are those that impress their imagination and ideas onto the world in a positive way.

Fundamentally, it's an ability to create a mental image, believe in it before anyone else does, and then execute in a way that materializes that image in the real world.

A process that's deeply fulfilling no matter its' size or outcome.

2) Don't over plan

🕮 Are you living life or just planning your biography?

How can you shift from planning to living? Try specifying.

What action, behavior, or habit could you start in the next 3 months that would surprise those around you (in a good way)?

Planning is crucial but it's empty without action.

3) The compounding effect

☀️ This is a picture of a 69-year-old trucker who has been on the road for 28 years. As you can see, the left side of his face seems to have aged faster than the right (your left). This is the result of continuous sun exposure on one side from years piloting the cab of a delivery truck in Chicago.

Of course, it's a powerful lesson on the damages UVA rays can have over time but there's also another underlying insight.

It is that our actions each day have consequences that go unnoticed at first, but compound tremendously over the long term. Whether that be sitting all day, eating junk food, not exercising, not stretching, lack of sleep, or unprotected sun exposure. Consistency in anything breeds extreme results.

In the many days of our life, it's difficult to imagine the compounding effect habits can have but rest assured they are accumulating.
