Big Walk  2021

The National Recreation Day and the Big Walk are pointed toward bringing issues to light with regards to a positive and sound way of life with the target of diminishing the death rate and checking the scourge of non-transmittable infections. As perceived by the Unified Country, interest in game and entertainment is a crucial basic freedom, which all Administrations should make accessible to their kin. Considering this thought that amusement and game assume a critical part in working on the wellbeing and prosperity of an individual, the Division of Game, Expressions, and Culture in 2014 further settled on the 'I Choose to be Active', a 365-day source of inspiration mission to all South Africans and the world at large to decide to be active.

Fundamentally, Bureau announced the primary Friday of October every year as Public Entertainment Day, and each first Sunday of October every year is Enormous Walk conceding all South Africans a chance to engage in dynamic diversion exercises. It is against this foundation that dynamic entertainment is at the Centre of DSAC's project's. This provide everyone with the first-hand experience and motivation needed to continue participating voluntarily in physical activities as they begin to realize the personal and social benefits thereof. South Africa, like the rest of the world, is facing a variety of challenges, incorporating everything from obesity, cardiac disease, diabetes, respiratory ailments, an ageing population, an increase in sedentary lifestyles and therefore loss of personal interaction and fitness, youth unemployment, high levels of violence, and conflict between people.

#SSCN626Challenge #NRD
In the pelage to be active SSCN and its network members took it upon themselves to host the #626Challenge in all the nine provinces together with the Department of sport, act, culture, and recreation.
We are during an inactivity pandemic as a country and as the world. As a network we have the common goal to encourage people to be active! Sometimes it just starts with a small step.

The Big Walk aka World Walking Day with @tafisaofficial and @sportartsculturersa is took place in seven provinces and this was a way for SSCN and its members to encourage all the people to walk as the first step toward a better life and an active one.
