Shared Learning

Following on from the SURF Award celebratory dinner shortlisted Award projects are invited to take part in a series of Shared Learning workshops.

The purpose of these events is to allow the projects to share experiences, both positive and negative, with the wider SURF network. This allows for discussion on aspects of shared learning and also how that fits with wider policy.

Due to the impacts of Coronavirus the events were moved from their usual May timeslot to a virtual format in July 2021.

SURF delivered a series of 4 thematic workshops covering; youth employability, housing-led regeneration, place-based regeneration and creative approaches to regeneration.

Materials and presentations from the workshops can be found HERE.

Fair Work Nation

Scottish Government have launched a public consultation on Scotland becoming a Fair Work Nation. The Scottish Government’s vision, shared with the Fair Work Convention, is that by 2025, people in Scotland will have a world leading working life where Fair Work drives success, wellbeing and prosperity for individuals, businesses, organisations and society.

Through this consultation, you are invited to share views on the action you think needs to be taken to achieve this vision, and who needs to lead and support that action, considering the challenges and opportunities in your sector and your workplace.

They are also seeking your views on what additional levers and measures should be used to make Scotland a Fair Work Nation, and how we ensure Fair Work continues to evolve to not only meet our social and economic ambitions, but also to respond to an evolving labour market.

Heritage Consultation

Take part in a survey to help keep track of the impacts of the pandemic on Scotland's heritage sector.

How secure do you feel, and what has changed in the past 18 months?

This survey is to help Historic Environment Scotland understand how the heritage sector is doing 18 months into the COVID-19 pandemic.

As pandemic measures continue to ease, HES would like to know more about the priorities that heritage organisations have, how secure organisations feel and understand what has changed between this survey and the two previous ones in 2020.

The survey has around 20 questions and should take around 20 minutes.

Survey closes on Sunday.
