<<First Name>>

Just a few days ago, a group of 50 ReThink315 friends gathered at Randy & Sarah Larson's open air barn to safely celebrate our one year anniversary! In addition, we set out to raise funds for all the events and programs we plan to execute in 2022. To everyone who attended, from the team and I, thank you so much!

QUICK REPORT: So far, from this event alone, we raised $37,000+ in gifts and pledges (with donations still trickling in)! Add that to the $90,000+ we've raised to date and join me as I stand in awe at just how gracious God has been to us!

I don't want to dwell on numbers too long here, but I have to tell you, based on my past experiences with events like these and fundraising in general, my unspoken expectation for the evening was a modest $25,000. Don't misunderstand me! $25k is A LOT of money! But this number was based on a very conservative human formula. As a matter of fact, our expectation for this first full year of ministry was a grand total of $125,000. Again, a number based on a human formula. Seeing God exceed our expectations was and is both encouraging and humbling. But God, in His providence, knew just how busy we'd be...

How busy are we? Busier than I thought we'd be, at this stage of our launch. To date we've partnered with multiple churches, schools, and groups to book 18 apologetics and outreach focused events. To our surprise, 14 of those 18 events were live and in person! In addition, we planned and executed our first annual student retreat back in July and we are now taking "early bird" registrations for our 2022 student retreat.

DISCLAIMER: Reports like these can be discouraging to faithful ministry leaders with start up experiences different than ours. On the other hand, they can be underwhelming or unimpressive to others. I really do hope my intentions aren't misread here and I really hope I'm not discouraging anyone or puffing up anyone else. I'm writing this in a sincere attempt to communicate just four things:

1. "[Our] God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus." Phil 4:19

2. In order for us to keep up our pace, we really need your financial help!

3. Based on event demand and feedback, we’re humbly confident that our unique approach to apologetics, evangelism, and outreach is not just needed, it's wanted.

4. I appreciate you and all you do for this organization (and for me personally). Even opening this and clicking a few links is helpful to us! Truly, your prayers, support, and participation has catapulted this ministry far beyond any walls I could have scaled myself.

If you have the means, please prayerfully consider MAKING A DONATION to this mission and ministry. We exceeded our first year projections because, I am starting to suspect, God has bigger plans for ReThink315 than we ever did.

2021 Student Interviews

Daniel DeFonce, here! First, a sincere “Thank you” to everyone who made our first banquet a smashing success, as well as to everyone who joined us there last Friday. It’s because of your faithful, spiritual and financial support that we are empowered “to do the good works, which God has prepared in advance for us to do” (Eph. 2:10). Second, it’s also because of young people like Hannah, Luke, and Brandon, whom you might’ve seen featured in our new Student Retreat montage video, that ReThink315 exists to create a sacred and safe space for questioning, believing, and rethinking where all are welcome and invited to deeply engaged biblical Truth.

The inaugural banquet was nothing short of inspiring for me as the newest member of ReThink315. Finally meeting in person many key men and women who have started us out and helped us along our new ministry journey has been an exciting and uplifting experience. I strongly believe that with such a solid team of Directors, advisors, staff, volunteers, and donors—people like you!—connected to this ministry “we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses” so that we can better “run with perseverance the race that is set before us” (Hebrews 12:1). By your partnering with us as prayer warriors, business and civic leaders, and as Gospel Patrons, you are by extension joining us in our relational apologetics and evangelistic conversations here in St. Louis and beyond. Thank you!

God has done great things on behalf of and through ReThink315 during our first year on the apologetics scene, and I know He has exceedingly great things in store for us in the years ahead.

As we raise a glass to our one-year ministry anniversary, I join Jeremy and our team in saying a hearty “Cheers!” to many years to come for ReThink315.

"The panel format is really effective because not only are you getting insightful, experienced, and expert Christians to give their opinions on deep subjects of the Bible but you get a wide variety of opinions on a single topic." Retreat Student 2021
“To be able to see the people that I love and care about join in this tradition of asking the deep questions and getting deep answers, in a community like this, is something remarkable and it really makes me happy.” Retreat Student 2021
"After the talk about Jesus being the center of the Christian faith, and that Jesus is the gospel, I went down to the labyrinth and was really pondering that... I think that while it’s very elementary, a lot of us forget it, but it's extremely foundational and important.” Retreat Student 2021
"There wasn't a focus on telling us what thoughts we should have, but rather there was a focus on the thoughts that we do have and how to analyze them in a way that’s both logically sound and scripturally sound." Retreat Student 2021
“You have so many people here that are gathered together from different denominations, and it just doesn’t really matter, it doesn’t even come up. You make friends with different people...” Retreat Student 2021
