Budget Feedback
Thank you all for the engagement in the discussion.

The feedback has come by letter, email and from various meetings – Rural Deans, Lay Chairs, Deanery Treasurers and Deanery Synods. David Pain and I had the pleasure of attending some of the Deanery Synods, which has been an enlightening process – we are always happy to be asked!

All this feedback is informing the Budget Paper, which will be presented to Diocesan Synod on 6th November. This is the Synod where we will be asking members to approve the Diocesan 2022 Budget.
A Cheerful Investor
A parish article

David Robinson, one of our Deanery Treasurers, has written an excellent article on the Generous Giving Campaign informing the Budget discussion. Read his take on it, here.
Accounting Package
Webinar 2nd November, 3.00pm
This month saw the start of the trial use across the Diocese of MyFundAccounting and MyGiving – software designed especially for church accounts and donations and Gift Aid management from Data Developments. More here.
Even in this short time we have had a very healthy take up, which gives confidence that this is the right path. However, we still need you to join the scheme, as the more churches that are included, the more we can review the trial and if needed tailor the pilot to suit your needs even more. If you would like to see the software before joining, why not join us for an online presentation on 2nd November at 3.00pm? Please register by clicking https://event.webinarjam.com/channel/SalisburyMFA.
Treasurer Training
Data Developments are also currently running a four-week treasurer training course.

The first two training sessions are available for download and cover 'The Role of the Treasurer' and 'What Are the Different Funds?' The next two weeks are courses on 4th November and 11th November which you can join, which cover 'Financial Controls' and 'Preparing for Year End'. The link to downloads and registration is here. You do not have to be with Data Developments to take advantage of this training.
