Update to NBPTS.org

We are excited to share that on October 28, the National Board’s web site - nbpts.org - will be refreshed. All visitors to the site will experience a new look and feel along with a range of changes that we believe will enhance the user experience.  You can get a sneak peak here.

  • Navigation based on audience needs

  • Enhanced search

  • Greater flexibility to make changes over time

  • Updates based on your feedback

This exciting evolution comes with change that may require some action from you and all visitors to our website. Because of some of the back-end requirements, most URLs on the site are changing. We expect the search to function effectively and the site will be intuitive - so finding content should be easy. But, bookmarks and resources documents that have old URLs will require updating.

We have created a quick guide with the most frequently used URLs to support you to update your materials.

Thanks for your understanding and support as we work to make this important information more accessible than ever

Network Yearly Report with new "Network Honors"

You or the Network lead should have received the Network Yearly Report.  Please submit it by Monday, November 22.  Reach out to Tami at tfitzgerald@nbpts.org if no one received it. This year's report includes an opportunity to earn Network Honors.

Network Honors

The National Board deeply values the unique contributions of each National Board Network in advancing our mission. To honor National Board Network’s exemplary service to the education community, National Board will be presenting National Board Network Honors during Team NBCT week in January 2022.

As a part of the 2021 Network Yearly Report, networks will be given the opportunity to nominate their network or to recognize their peer networks with a nomination for an Honor.

The Network Development Continuum presents the criteria for all National Board Network Honors. The written support for nomination can be either level of work or growth of work in an area as described in the Network Development Continuum.

5 Honors that can be earned by multiple networks each year

  • Overall Excellence
  • Network Honors:  Area of Excellence
    • Awareness and Recruitment
    • Candidate Support, Initial and MOC
    • NBCT Engagement and Mobilization
    • Advocacy and Teacher Leadership
