And he said to them, “Go into all the world and proclaim the good news to the whole creation.”

A Prayer for Today

Remind us of the necessity of proclaiming both your gospel of justice and your gospel of bread. Amen.

One Small Step Meals Are on Hold

We need a coordinator - or two - to take on the job of rallying volunteers and making phone calls for the monthly meals. The folks preparing the food have their hands full with planning, shopping, cooking, and serving; they need someone to help by organizing people to assist with preparation, serving, delivery, and clean-up. Speak with Deacon John if you can lend a hand.

News from Uganda from Charlie Pinches:

"The McMahon Clinic Building on Epiphany School grounds is no longer being used as a clinic. In the past few years, it has been used as a small dorm where the P-7 students can stay while they study for their government-administered exams that determine what level of schooling they can continue towards in their high school years.  Fr. Charles and Alice have long wished for a permanent dorm for students to enhance the education of their students who can dorm (in Uganda, dorming is very common and considered the best way to build up a child's education), diversify the kind of services they can offer, help with the funding of the school (dorming produces a little extra revenue), and save kids the long walk each day to school on the dusty Ugandan roads.

The dorm will incorporate the old McMahon Clinic building into a larger newly constructed one.  When completed, this dorm will house 30+ boarders, girls in P-7 and P-6, plus a matron. School in 2021 has been often interrupted by Covid, but conditions related to it have improved, and Uganda's primary schools will all open in early January of 2022.  Fr. Charles plans for the dorm to be completed by then.  It will help since, as the schools reopen, they will be inspected and classified.  Epiphany should receive a classification of "mixed boarding," which should help it grow in the future.

The dorm is being funded by a few families associated with the COTE. "
Churches that are growing have members who LOVE to tell their friends, neighbors, family members about one thing they LOVE about their church.
