Back To Practice
As restrictions ease we are BACK to Wednesday night practice sessions - 6:30pm - 8:30pm OUTDOORS at our usual location at ST NINAINS in Lyneham.
If you want to join us - our new system for payments is $10 per class casual or $100 for 6 month memberships. Anyone who signed up in the last 3 months will get their membership extended as we were not able to practice or play
We'll keep this time going forward for November + December!
New Committee
We'd like to welcome the new Raio De Sol committee for 2021/2022 - lots of familiar faces + one new one!

Day of the Dead Fiesta
Live music is back in CBR and we have a gig coming up!
This is a regular festival that we usually play at - this year because of COVID it's a little different - but we've been invited to play a short 15 min set outside on the street!
FRIDAY 5th NOV
9:15pm - 9:30pm @ The Basement (Belconnen)
What is "Day of the Dead" you say?
It's not Mexican Halloween (it's much more interesting than that!) - if you'd like to know more then click the links bellow to listen to a podcast filled with Mexican music and Cultural Information about the tradition - AND at the end of this email you can watch a short video about how Day of the Dead is celebrated here in Canberra.
If you are in Canberra over NYE and have no plans - then look no further than SUMMER RHYTHM NYE festival! It features a huge line up of local bands at an amazing venue 15 mins from Dickson in NSW.
Raio has been asked to play the countdown to NYE - so come along if you can and enjoy a whole afternoon and night of live music, food and drinks!
It's huge and local! There will focus on ROOTS, FOLK and REGGAE to bring in the new year! Food vans will be on site - including BRAZBEQUE Brazilian BBQ - Pizza + more AND your entry will get you a FREE drink on arrival. There will also be a SHUTTLE BUS to take you from PHILLIP AV STATION to GOOLABRI.
